The history of the Victoria Palace Theatre

The Victoria Palace Theatre first opened in 1911, designed by prolific theatre architect Frank Matcham. It replaced an earlier music hall on the same site known as Moy’s Music Hall, which dated back to the mid-1800s. In the 20th century, the theatre became best known for long-running shows such as Me and My Girl and Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story.
