Set against the backdrop of 19th-century Paris, Moulin Rouge! tells the passionate tale of a wandering poet who quickly becomes entangled in a sizzling romance with Satine, the dazzling diamond, and the star of the Moulin Rouge. Say hidi hidi hidi hi to the spectacular spectacular Tanisha Spring and Dom Simpson, who will be stepping into the glamourous underworld of the Moulin Rouge! The Musical from 16 October. Having previously alternated the role, Tanisha Spring (Groundhog Day) will play Satine whilst Dom Simpson (The Book of Mormon) joins the cast as lovestruck Christian. The pair are set to lead the marvellous musical into its third year!

The new cast will be led by Melissa James, Jamie Muscato and Matt Rixon. Tickets for Moulin Rouge! The Musical in London are currently booking through to 11 February 2023. This musical is a must for Aristocrats, Bohemians and everyone in between.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical is the place to be for bohemians in the West End. Baz Lurhmann’s spectacular (spectacular) film starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman has been adapted for the stage. Moulin Rouge! The Musical has a book by John Logan and an incredible soundtrack from some of the world’s most renowned artists including David Bowie, Elton John, Sia, Lady Gaga and more. According to Daily Mail Celebrity entertainment columnist Baz Bamigboye, the West End transfer production of Moulin Rouge! has now been delayed to Fall 2021 with previews likely set to begin in November 2021. The former trustee to the Kiln Theatre also tweeted that so far no one has officially been cast in the musical and the creative team will resume indoor auditions as soon as it becomes fully safe to do so. The news was later confirmed by the production team today.

Our new dreamcast was inspired by the recent announcement that Broadway’s Moulin Rouge would indeed be transferring to the West End. The journey over the pond won’t occur until March 2021, meaning official casting announcements will still be a while off – that however doesn’t stop us dreaming. Tickets for Moulin Rouge at the Piccadilly Theatre are not yet available, but you can sign up to our mailing list to make sure you’re the first to know when booking opens up.

Baz Luhrmann’s sparkling diamond of a film starring Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman sets the bar for casting this stage adaptation out of this atmosphere high. They are simply legends but perhaps are no longer a fit for the roles they originally played 20 years ago. (Although, if they wanted to reprise the roles of Christian and Satine for the West End production, I’m sure no one would argue). The Broadway production has a seriously strong cast that is nothing short of envious, but with the masses of talent that we have here in the West End and the UK, there’s no doubt that the London Moulin Rouge cast will be spectacular spectacular.

We can-can confirm that Broadway’s Moulin Rouge will be making a trip over the pond and will be transferring to the West End’s Piccadilly Theatre. The show is set to open in spring 2021 for its UK premiere and we’re already counting down the days. As the show won’t be opening in London until a year next March, West End Moulin Rouge tickets won’t be available yet but be sure to sign up to our newsletter and we’ll update you when they do.
