Ashley Samuels

Ashley Samuels is a professional actor, presenter and performer who recently completed the original London run on Fun Home at the Young Vic.

 

Training:

He trained at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting, graduating in 2013.

Theatre:

Ashley has been part of various theatre shows. They include The World Goes Round at Stephen Joseph Theatre, Night Of The Living Dead – Live at Pleasance Theatre, Hairspray at the London Coliseum, and The Olivier Awards at the Royal Opera House. He played the role of Black Dude in the original London cast of The Toxic Avenger at the Southwark Playhouse, Doctor in The Book Of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Stevie Wonder/first cover Berry Gordy in Motown the Musical at the Shaftesbury Theatre, and Pete, Mark, Roy, Bobby Jeremy in the original London cast of Fun Home at the Young Vic.

Workshops:

He took part in workshops for Cult – From Page To Stage at the Southwark Playhouse, where he played Adam; Pattie Shop Diaries at The Other Palace, and Back To The Future: The Musical at the American Church.

TV:

In television, Ashley appeared in ITV’s “Never Too Late” This Morning, and the Sing It Kitty commercial.

Rehearsed Readings:

Includes playing Mark in The Beach House at Stephen Joseph Theatre, and Michael in Throne.

Other Credits:

As well as acting in several musicals and television shows, Ashley has involved himself in different works. They include Motown West End Live 2017, Louise Dearman: This Is Me (concert), Season Launch 2018 at the Nottingham Playhouse, and concert soloist at The Other Palace and Electric Theatre.
