Joseph Richardson

A professional theatre actor, Joseph Richardson is originally from Lincolnshire but moved to Guildford for his acting training. He is appearing in the latest production of Tina – The Tina Turner Musical. Soon after his studies, Joseph started working across the UK.

 

Training:

He attended the Guildford School of Acting, graduating with a First Class Honours degree in 2013.

Theatre:

Joseph has played the role of Frid in Alastair Knights’ A Little Night Music (Yvonne Arnaud Guildford, 2013); James Cettlan Jones in Donnacadh O’Briain in I Am Sad You Are Dead Mrs T (Theatre503, 2013); Oliver & Corin in Tom Littler’s As You Like It (Guildford Shakespeare Company, 2013); Schnabel, Goose and understudy Captain Stewart in Tom Morris & Marianne Elliot’s War Horse (National Theatre, 2013 – 2015); King of Hearts in Charlotte Conquest’s Alice In Wonderland (Guildford Shakespeare Company, 2015); Puppeteer, Ronnie and Ewan Goode in Chris Monks’ The Shepherd’s Life (Theatre By The Lake, Keswick, 2016); Robert Wace in Edward Hall’s Sunny Afternoon (Sonia Friedman Productions/ATG, 2016 – 2017); Bernard Marx in Jonathan Holloway’s Brave New World (Creation Theatre, 2018); Andre and Beast’s Robot in Chris Honer’s Beauty And The Beast by Laurence Boswell (Theatre By The lake, Keswick, 2018); John Carpenter & Martyn Ware in Phyllida Lloyd’s Tine – The Tina Turner Musical (Stage Entertainment, 2019).

Film:

He played the role of The Navigator in the 2013 film by Philip Stevens’ Lancaster (Red Dog Films) and The Boy in Richard Lloyd’s 2015 film Dead Cat (Lost Boy Productions).

Radio:

Joseph has also worked in radio programmes like Courtney Larkin’s All’s Well That Ends Well (Tabling – The Podcast, 2015) and Lucy Atkinson’s Othello (Tabling – The Podcast, 2015).
