Laura Baldwin

Laura Baldwin, born on 20th November 1992, is a professional actress from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Her love for musical theatre developed when she took part in a choir in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’s regional production. She moved to Bird College at the age of 16 after acquiring experience on the amdram circuit. 

She originated the role of Dawn Louise Pinkett on West End’s Waitress the Musical and is seen alongside famous superstar Kelsey Grammer in the Big Fish musical. 

 

Training:

Baldwin received her training from Doreen Bird College of Dance which is renowned for its courses in dance and theatre performance and graduated in 2012. 

Theatre:

Her theatre credits include Big Fish (London Premiere, 2017) where she appeared as young Sandra; Big Fish (The Other Palace Revival, 2017) where she appeared as Story Sandra; Eugenius (Return London Engagement, 2018) where she appeared as Janey, and Waitress (Original West End Production, 2019) where she is seen as Dawn. She has also appeared as Sam in The Little Beasts (The Other Palace); Blind Mouse/Red Riding Hood/Teen Fiona in Shrek the Musical (UK Tour); the title role in Alice in Wonderland (The Lichfield Garrick); an ensemble/Veronica in Betty Blue Eyes (UK Tour), and Wendy in Peter Pan (The Gordon Craig Theatre). 

Her workshop credits include her role as Harriet in Reanimator; Lorraine in Club Tropicana, and Mary-Kate in 57 Annual Mathlete. 

TV:

Baldwin’s television appearances include BBC One, ITV’s Royal Variety Performance and the Christmas production of Big Fish.
