Paul Erbs

Originally a Kiwi actor, Paul Erbs is based in London and is currently playing Passarino/Hairdresser in the long-running production of The Phantom Of The Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre.

 

Training:

He graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, with a BMus in Performance Voice.

Theatre:

An experienced actor, Paul appeared as Hans in The Snow Queen (1994), the title role in Oliver (1995), Clerk in The Wind In The Willows (1995), Louis in The King And I (1996) and Boutique Owner in Cinderella (panto, 1998) at the Playhouse Theatre, New Zealand. He also played Young Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at the Opera Factory, NZ (1997), Rolf in The Sound Of Music at the Playhouse Theatre, NZ (1999), Thomas in Thomas And Sally (2001), Aristide in Not In Front Of The Waiter (2001), Papageno in The Magic Flute (2001) and Chorus in La Boheme (2002) at the Opera Factory, NZ. Other roles include Frederic in Pirates Of Penzance (2003) and Purser/Ensemble in Anything Goes (2003) at the Playhouse Theatre, NZ; Harry in A Factory Opera at the Opera Factory (2003), Chorus in Rigoletto at the Aotea Centre, NZ (2004), Featured Soloist in Olde Tyme Music Hall at the Playhouse Theatre, NZ (2004), Husband in Les Mamelles de Tiresias at the Opera Factory, NZ (2004), Ensemble in Evita in the NZ Tour (2004), Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd at the Centrestage Theatre, NZ (2004), Chorus in La Traviata at the Aotea Centre, NZ (2005), Motel in Fiddler On The Roof at the Playhouse Theatre, NZ (2005), Chorus in The Death Of Klinghoffer at the Aotea Centre, NZ (2005), Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at the Opera Factory, NZ (2005) and Enjolras in Les Miserables at the Playhouse Theatre, NZ (2006) among others.
