The Trocks perform Programme A at the Peacock Theatre
This groundbreaking company has been performing for nearly 50 years and The Trocks’ ballet has become recognised across the world. The all-male comedy ballet company has been wowing audiences with their skill and slaying them with their comedy chops for decades.
The company originally from New York has become famous around the world for their sassy spoofs and hysterical homages to ballet classics. People of all ages are captivated by their performances which feature 16 dancers who each take on two personas, both male and female.
Whilst their performances are fun and fierce, featuring testosterone and tutus, pale pink en pointe shoes, false lashes and plenty of prima ballerina attitude their incredible technique and ballet mastery are always on full display along with their impeccable comedic timing. The technical prowess of the dancers alongside their comedy and tongue-in-cheek fun are a delight to behold for all ages.
Programme A will consist of the following performances:
Swan lake
Nightcrawlers
Dying Swan
Walpurghisnacht
Don't forget to book your tickets to Programme B which begins its run just after Programme A closes and features 3 different pieces and one old favourite!

Amazing funny show with incredibly talented dancers! A show not to be missed.
first time i had seen trocks fab show very talanted guys cannot wait to see them again
AMAZING!!! Bought the tickets on a whim for my mother's birthday but it was an amazing surprise and a wonderful performance. The guys were so good, the dance was flawless and the comedy added some spice to the beautiful choreography. Have been binge watching them on youtube since and cannot have enough. Will definitely go and see them again.
I didn’t know what the hype was all about! I preferred the more serious aspects of it and not so much the slapstick part of the programme. Disappointing. Won’t see it again! Seen that, done that, got the t shirt.
Amazing clever technically fantastic humerous- loved it! Great bar staff in stalls bar too
Loved it, so clever and funny
Absolutely fantastic, brilliant dancing and choreography, and terrific comedy pieces that didn’t detract from ballet. Loved the whole experience.
This was the perfect antidote to a very busy week at work! Appreciated the artistry & humour. Attended on my own, but met some very friendly audience members who chatted away to me like long-lost friends! Look forward to Programme B.
Loved it!!! What a hugely talented troupe of dancers and the humour is hysterical!!
It was an exceptionally entertaining evening. My friend and I laughed a lot, but we also appreciated the enormously talented cast. We are very familiar with the traditional choreography of Swan Lake so were stunned by the way the dancers were able to perform it as well as any female classical dancers. Much of the time we forgot that they were all males! Two former professional dancers.
Absolutely wonderful. Great entertainment. The talent of these young Ballerinas is off the charts. Everyone should take in a performance.
Fabulous as always and such a pleasure to watch. Long may they continue and I look forward to seeing them again on the next visit to the UJ
