New VR theatre experience "Petrichor" coming this December!
The portal to the world of Petrichor is set to open up for a limited time this December! Don't miss the premiere VR event of the year!

Theatre Royal Stratford East presents: Petrichor available to access online from anywhere!

Petrichor, ThickSkin's innovative new VR theatre experience, is coming to your computer screens this Christmas for a limited only! From just 7 to 13 December, you'll gain access to a virtual world unlike any you've experienced before, all from the comfort of your own living room!

No need to head to the theatre, tickets for Petrichor VR Immersive Experience will let you enter its dystopian world whenever you wish, so long as it's between 9am on 7 December until 11.59pm on 13 December 2020.

What is Petrichor: A Virtual Reality Theatre Experience about?

Welcome to Petrichor, a whole new, dystopian universe that is beckoning to you. Thousands of people like you applied, and YOU were chosen! You form an integral part of this machine! And that's all you need to think about.

Audiences of Petrichor will step into a virtual world of intricate design. Every moment in Petrichor is monochromatic, controlled, and muted. Nothing bad happens here. But nothing good or exciting happens either... for excitement and happiness have both been traded for a world without pain and suffering.

When an unlikely duo cross paths by chance, they get a teaser of what life could be like in a more thrilling world. Now with a newfound connection, the pair begin to question every thought, every step, and every decision they've ever had or made. Does a better world truly exist on the other side of the spectrum?

Petrichor online VR viewing experience: how does it work?

Tickets to view Petrichor are digital and will give you full access to this unforgettable online experience from anywhere with internet access. All you need is your own headphones, a computer, and access to the web.

The show is also fully compatible with VR headsets, though this is not at all required to fully enjoy this 360-degree experience!

A week before the show's run, you will receive an email with a link to enter the world of Petrichor. The link will be valid between 9am on 7 December 2020 until the stroke of midnight on 14 December 2020 (11.59pm on 13 December).
