Musical theatre was the main winner at the first annual Off West End Awards 2011, with seven awards going to productions in the genre.

Most Promising New Playwright: Arinze Kene for Estate Walls, Oval House

Best Artistic Director/Programmer: Neil McPherson, Finborough Theatre

Best Lighting Design: Howard Hudson for Me and Juliet, Finborough Theatre and Tomorrow Morning, Landor Theatre

Best Sound Design: Steve Miller for Assassins, Union Theatre

Best Set Design: Ultz for The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Young Vic
