The Unreturning tickets are now available for Frantic Assembly's newest show at the Theatre Royal Stratford East.
Bruntwood Prize for playwrighting winner Anna Jordan explores the effects of war and the meaning of home in her captivating new play. When you’ve been devastated by war can home help you heal, or is it a sad reminder of things that will never again be the same?
Is it possible to make a beginning out of an ending? Three young men come home to a British Northern Coastal town. In 1918 George is making his way home from the Western Front, in 2013 Frankie returns from his last tour in Afghanistan, and in the not-too-distant future, Nat is returning to what used to be his hometown from an overseas refugee camp. What does home mean to these different young men who have all been profoundly changed by war, and what will these young men mean to the home that awaits them?

Theatre Royal Stratford East 2018/19 Season Part II: What’s on?
Following a successful first half of Nadia Fall’s inaugural season as Artistic Director of the Theatre Royal Stratford East, theatregoers can now look forward to the highly anticipated second half of the 2018/19 season. The Stratford East is famous for staging contemporary pieces written by a diverse group of playwrights, and while the theatre may be on a tight budget, it has certainly found a way to secure the very fibre of its being – a diverse, multi-racial audience who are often reviewed just as frequently as the venue’s shows themselves. Find out what’s on in 2019 at the Stratford East below.
