Lucie-Mae Sumner

Lucie-Mae Sumner is a London-based musical theatre actress with immense talent in Ballad, Choral and Contemporary singing. Currently appearing as an Ensemble in Mary Poppins, she has experience on stage for about a decade.

 

Training:

Lucie went to the Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 2011. She also attended the National Youth Theatre.

Theatre:

Her stage credits include Featured/solo vocalist and dancer in Phil Winston’s The Works (Phil Winston’s Theatreworks, 2010); Alice Fitzwarren in Tim Lince’s Dick Whittington (Pendulum Productions, 2012); 1st cover Sister Mary Robert in Jerry Zacs’ Sister Act (Stage Entertainment, 2012); Chairy Barnum/Understudy Jenny Lind in Barnum (2013) at the Chichester Festival and Cameron Mackintosh Ltd; Lucy/Kate Monster in Avenue Q UK Tour (2014); Anabelle and understudy Maud/Alice in A Damsel in Distress (2015) at the Chichester Festival Theatre; Hot Box girl and understudy Sarah in Guys and Dolls (Runaway Entertainment, 2016); Standby Mary Poppins (2016) and 1st cover Mary (2017) in the UK and International tour of Mary Poppins respectively: 1st cover Jenny Lind/Chairy Barnum and Chester Lyman in Barnum (2017) at the Menier Chocolate Factory; Cecily in Travesties (2018) at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre; Charlotte Parratt in Quality Street (2018) at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre (2018); Roxie Hart in Chicago (2018) at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

Stage credits during her training include Celia in Lolly Susi’s The Philanthropist (2010), Young Belle/Baby in Karen Rabinowitz’s Little Me (2011) and Sally Durant Plummer in Rabinowitz’s Follies (2011).

TV:

In 2017, she appeared as Christabel in series 3 of Humans (Kudos/Channel 4).

Short Film:

Sumner was in Justin Horton’s AIMEE as the lead (2019).

Concert:

Credits include Chorus in BBC Prom 19: Sondheim at 80 (2010); West End Chorus in Anthems: The Concert (2011); Ensemble in Dress Circle Benefit Gala (2011); Guest Artist in West End Prom (2016).
