Mark Dugdale

Mark Dugdale is originally from Belfast. Being a professional stage actor, he resides in Greater London and holds experience in films, theatre and radio. Besides that, he is skilled in jazz, ballet and tap dancing, while also having excellent singing skills.

 

Training:

He won the Kenneth Branagh Renaissance Award to complete his 3-year training at the Guildford School of Acting, and following this he also went to the Irish Film Actors Studio, Dublin.

Theatre:

Dugdale has a long list of theatre works. He has played Randolf in Bye Bye Birdie at the Landor Theatre; Asher in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (National Tour); Chris in Have a Nice Life (Union Theatre); Soup in Merry Christmas Betty Ford at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast; Ugly Sister in Cinderella at the Grand Opera House; Mary Sunshine in Chicago at Cambridge Theater and National Tour; Courfeyrac and understudy Enjolras in Les Miserables at the Queen’s Theatre; Fleshcreep in Jack And The Beanstalk at the Grand Opera House, Belfast for Qdos; Zac in Don Giovanni The Opera at the Heaven Nightclub; Khashoggi and Pop in We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre; Derek in The Commitments at the Palace Theatre; Ensemble in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Open Air Theatre, and Garth/Kevin T/Ensemble in Come From Away at the Phoenix Theatre.

He was also in The Boyfriend (50th Anniversary Production) and played various roles in Jest End (Leicester Square Theatre).

Workshop: His credits include City Boy in London Time and Derek Scully in The Commitments.

Music:

His voice is in the recording of Stage and Screen (BBC Radio 3) and Les Miserables – The Movie (Working Title). He is in the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert (O2 Arena); Anthology (Covent Garden) and Night of A Thousand Stars (Royal Albert Hall).
