It was exciting to see a big, ambitious experimental work like that in the context of the Old Vic. The piece seemed to have a lot of respect for its audience and trust in about abilities to make meaning from a work that wasn't conventionally linear or narrative. The ticket prices were, as ever, a deterrent and obviously exclude a potential audience who can't afford to pay this much. It would be great to see more of an effort made to stop the theatre being perceived as an elitist art form.
Acceptable. Not revolutionary. Enjoyable.
