About Woolf Works, a ballet triptych

I now, I then (from Mrs Dalloway****)

Drawing on Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway and her own recorded words, this section weaves Clarissa’s polished world with Septimus’s fractured mind. Their lives never touch, yet both are shadowed by memory, trauma, and Woolf’s reflections on her mental health.

Becomings (from Orlando****)

Inspired by Woolf’s gender-shifting, time-bending Orlando, Becomings explodes into a world where identity is fluid and existence is pure transformation. It captures Orlando’s sweeping journey through centuries—alive with energy, motion, and constant rebirth.

Tuesday (from The Waves****)

Echoing the lyrical rhythms of The Waves, Tuesday follows six intertwined voices from youth to old age, framed by the ever-moving sea. The section merges this meditation on time with Woolf’s final walk to the River Ouse, dissolving into stillness and silence.
