Matthew Bourne's Cinderella returns to the West End for Christmas 2017.
Part of the company's 30th anniversary celebrations and marking the 20th anniversary of Cinderella's West End appearance, this much loved interpretation of the classic fairytale returns to London's Sadler’s Wells theatre in a flurry of dance and glamour.
Set amidst the uncertainty of the London Blitz Cinderella meets her prince charming, a dashing young RAF pilot, just long enough to make a connection before they are torn apart. Prepare to be swept away by the magical choreography and glitz and glamour, and brought back to the stark realities of war ravaged London...
Matthew Bourne has used Prokofiev's 1940s score to bring the familiar tale of Cinderella new life. The 60 piece orchestra recording of Prokofiev's score is brought to life by Bourne's incredible choreography, the Olivier award winning costume/sets and lighting by Lez Brotherston and Neil Austin, respectively.
Matthew Bourne's Cinderella is a gorgeous reimagining of a classic love story with all the stunning storytelling and staging we have come to expect from Matthew Bourne. The perfect Christmas show for the whole family, celebrate the holidays in London with Cinderella.
