Horrible Histories returns to the West End this Summer with the terrific Terrible Tudors. Laugh your way through history as it lives (and dies) in front of your very eyes. Book your tickets to the gloriously gory show today!
What is Horrible Histories: Terrible Tudors about?
It might be nice to really connect with history, feel like it was speaking to you. The trouble is everyone’s already dead.
Fear not, Horrible Histories have you covered. Settle in and meet people from history. There are horrid Henries and an evil Elizabeth, pull up a seat and prepare to hear the lore (and the lies) surrounding the torturing Tudors.
What became of the headless wives of Henry? Was there really a punch up with the Pope? Meet Bloody Mary and watch as Ed falls dead in his bed and survive the Spanish Armada. Whoever said history was boring didn’t know you could leave the nasty bits in!
Horrible Histories on stage!

Hilariously funny for both adults and children. A great overview of the Tudor era and delivered in a way that is engaging and interesting to children with a few jokes aimed at the adults! Thoroughly enjoyed!
I thought it was very funny and also informed alot about history, in general.
Great, funny and interesting
Brilliant content delivered by 2 wonderful actors who entertained children and adults alike. Very good would recommend.
Really great fun. Adults and children joining in and laughing. Everyone learnt something too!
I attended with my two granddaughters aged 9 and 13 and we all enjoyed the show. My nine year old was particularly enthusiastic and immediately after wanted me to book the Christmas production. The two actors were engaging and funny. Some of the jokes with political references went above their heads but they amused me.
I thought it was very funny and amusing I wish I could watch it all over again. I loved every single bit of it.
This was a fun, interactive and engaging show that I enjoyed with my 8 year old son. He was fully immersed the whole time and it made learning about this period of History lots of fun! Highly recommend!!
Very entertaining even though we age wise were light years 82 and 83 older than the crowd average., it was an inspiring way to teach English history to a younger generation as well as refresh a humerous version oh history for us.
Great and entertaining show for the whole family!
Absolutely brilliant! educational funny, great actors, my wife and I loved it, as did our 8 year old boy....we'll worth it ??
Surpassed my expectations. Extremely talented actors. My 6 year old granddaughter was worried it would be “too scary” for her but within 5 minutes she was fully engaged with the story and thoroughly enjoyed it. We both learnt a lot and laughed a lot. The occasional jokes about Tory politicians were an added bonus. The running time of 70 minutes was just right. Highly recommended.
